Pharos in Hoofddorp is a multi-tenant building and a lighthouse for healthy working. Key words to explain the concept in a nutshell: zero waste, vibrant community, maximum health and total energy. We created a warm and playful design in a corporate environment with innovative circulair solutions.

The 19th (top) floor can be used by all tenants. There is a large boardroom, barlounge, two smaller meeting rooms, a conference room for 80 people, pitch room, co-work space and a reload room to relax during work days.

Our team has been selected to design all the communal spaces within a large office building in Hoofddorp which is completely renovated and expanded.

The restaurant plays a big role in creating a community full of awareness. We have done extended research on the field of healthy materials without any toxic substances and easy to re-use or recycle. We also have learned a lot from working closely together with a health and well being/ feng shui specialist.

VIA Hotel

Interior design of a former building from the 90’s transformed into a hotel/hostel with 170 rooms, a restaurant, cinema room, guest kitchen etc. Our team was asked to create a recognizable and unique interior design concept for a new player on the Dutch Hotel market. Via Hotels was founded in Londen and Via Hotel Amsterdam / Diemen is the first location in Europe with a new design concept for a young target group. Distinctive design elements are the instagrammable graphics / graffiti paintings and the references to the urban 90’s such as skateboarding, hiphop music and breakdancing. The restaurant “The Dude” has been named after the famous cult movie from the 90’s, The Big Lebowski. The colours, shapes and (mostly natural) materials have been chosen to revive the 90’s and to seduce the visitors to get out of their rooms and stay for breakfast/lunch/dinner before/after visiting the city centre of Amsterdam.

Since the opening in September 2017 the hotel has an average occupancy rate of 94%. There was a great collaboration between our team, OZ architect and Van Wijnen which made the impossible possible. From concept design to delivery in less than one year for a project of app. 7000m2 in total.

Rosa Spier Huis

The Rosa Spier Huis is a work- and living community for elderly artists and scientists in Laren. The Rosa Spierhuis gives her residents, but also artists from outside a stage to share their inspiration with the public. The Rosa Spier Huis has her own concert- and theatre hall, gallery café, art studios and a garden full of sculptures. It is a unique place where artists from all ages and places can meet each other.

The Rosa Spier Huis on the Hector Treublaan in Laren features 92 independent appartements and 45 care units. The housing as well as services and possible caretaking all serve one purpose: supporting the artistry and promoting the activities of residents. In the Rosa Spier Huis, the autonomy of the residents is the core, for a lifetime of art.
